"Blank" Postcard project

The "Blank" Postcard Project is an artist-driven response to proposed budgetary cuts to the National Endowment of Arts (NEA). Over the decades since its installment, the NEA has provided funding to underrepresented voices across America - women, people of color, Indigenous and rural communities, and LGBTQ folks, supporting their rights to freedom of expression. We fear the drastic cuts to these essential programs will result in further disparity between whose art is created, seen and supported. The "Blank" Postcard Project provides a simple and accessible avenue for anyone to participate in the dialogue of the arts in America. Arts are a critical catalyst to bridge divides, and in our current cultural climate, they are needed more than ever.
